Massage + Bodywork that takes you as a whole person.
Feel better in your body
We will start with a conversation, and we’ll assess together the best approach for you and your body on that day. Whether you have a specific postural issue or sports goal that needs targeted work, or simply need deep relaxation and a chance to reconnect with your body and mind, I’m here to help you feel better.
What can heal. help you with?
I’m in pain
We will look at the whole picture, considering how you use your body in daily life, using targeted work to aid recovery from injury or address postural imbalances.
Calm my nervous system
Unresolved stress and burnout can be a part of modern life. Using bodywork techniques including deep tissue massage, encouraging the body to release muscle tension, relax and restore balance.
Sport focus
Generally more targeted work to help aid recovery, relieve muscle soreness and help prepare for performance.
Your Questions, Answered
-
My background in yoga and ongoing studies in Five Element traditional acupuncture complement my massage + bodywork treatments and shape the way I understand the body, health and the connection between the two.
Having experienced prolonged stress myself, I understand how the pressures of modern life can affect us, both physically and mentally. My approach is thoughtful, grounded and personal, with a focus on understanding what each person needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
For me, it’s about more than the treatment itself. It’s about how you feel, how you’re listened to, and the care you receive.

The heal. approach is bespoke, so each treatment will involve a conversation and we’ll check in with your needs on this day. I can treat postural imbalances, give a sports related focus, or provide a chance to stop, and relax. Often it’s a mixture.

Bodywork takes a whole-body approach, helping to ease tension, improve movement and bring the body back into balance. Massage is one technique within bodywork.
-
Deep tissue massage is one technique I use within bodywork. Deep tissue work involves slow, deep strokes with sustained pressure, mainly targeting inner muscle layers and connective tissue.
-
That’s not how I work. My aim is to stimulate the parasympathetic nervous system in order to promote relaxation and encourage healing.
Treatment involving trigger point therapy can be more intense, but I will always work within your limits, and pain is not helpful. It will not help your muscles relax.

Before your first session, you’ll complete a questionnaire about your medical history. This helps me make sure treatment is appropriate and safe for you.
When you arrive, we’ll have a chat about what’s brought you in, what you’d like to get out of the session and the type of massage that will suit you best. If it’s useful, I may also take a look at your posture and how you move. If needed, a postural assessment is carried out in your underwear or in shorts and a vest top, whichever you feel most comfortable in.
I’ll leave you to get undressed and settled on the treatment table in private, with cotton flannel sheets to get comfortable under.
Afterwards, we can talk through anything that might help between sessions, whether that’s a few stretches or some strengthening exercises.
